Nelayan Restaurant

To get a meal followed by the sea breeze and a view, Nelayan in Bintan Lagoon checks all the boxes. If you’re staying at the resort, head down in time to grab the breakfast ceremony and take the patio seats right by the white sands!

In the evenings, go here to catch the sunset above a plethora of local and international signatures, from Seafood Risotto to the Catch of the Day which is cooked in a banana leaf with a side of polenta.

Nelayan’s bar opens directly out to the beach, the perfect setting for a round (or two) of drinks. With classic Margaritas and Whiskey Sours, along with Nelayan signatures such as the tropical Beach Coconut, it’s the ideal place for a nightcap.

If you are staying out in Treasure Bay at The Canopi, reserve a dinner to their DIY BBQ to complete your glamping adventure. The team will set up a barbecue pit onto your tent’s private terrace, and deliver the components directly to your doorstep! Warung Yeah!

Located near Plaza Lagoi and Lagoi Beach, Warung Yeah! Is among the island’s finest rated eateries, because of its lineup of updated and traditional female delights.

Get an arrangement of this Ayam Bakar that is charcoal-grilled until the poultry’s kecap manis-glazed outside is smokey and caramelized. Meat-free does not imply flavour-free — Warung Yeah’s Tahu Telor, or black tofu egg omelette, is all sorts of crunchy and is served saturated in a sauce that is sweet, hot and sour. Other favourite dishes include Beef Rendang, Ayam Penyet, along with their twists around the always-addictive Fried Indomie.

Save your thirst with a freshly cracked coconut oil, or elect for their special Bintan Coco drink. It contains fresh coconut water, creamy slices of coconut flesh, basil seeds plus a dusky coating of gula melaka syrup!

Pujasera Lagoi

For affordable Indonesian reaches hawker centre prices, go out to Pujasera Food Centre near the Lagoi hotel cluster. This local eating spot is somewhat reminiscent of our food centres back home, using the meals being instead a bit more economical too!

From crispy egg-topped Mie Goreng into Nasi Campur filled with tempeh, veggies and rendang, you’ll find something to satisfy you without placing much of a dent in your wallet.

Treetops

If you’ve got a little more budget to splurge on a dining area with a stunning perspective, Treetops in Banyan Tree Bintan is the region for you. Take your seats in the terrace before sunset, and see the blue sky transform in shades of gold and crimson as you enjoy your dinner along with beverages.

Serving classic Indonesian dishes with premium components, Treetops lets diners select from Degustation and family-style “Rice Table” menus, or to purchase a la carte dishes instead. With a complete coriander-marinated duck fried and served on a bed of fragrant lemongrass rice, then the signature Bebek Goreng Ketumbar is a must-try. You can not fail with Sate Campur either. As a bonus, then the succulent skewers of chicken and beef are served smoking-hot at the desk atop a mini grill!
