Merlion Park
Among Singapore’s best places to take pictures, the Merlion is one of the most interesting. It has the head of a lion and the body of a fish, which means that Singapore was a fishing village in the early years.
There are seven Merlion statues all over Singapore. The largest one is in front of the Fullerton Hotel. It’s a good idea to get there early to avoid the crowds. It’s one of the most popular things to do in Singapore.
The Merlion is about a 10-minute walk from the Raffles Place MRT station. You can also take the bus to Fullerton Square and get off at Fullerton Square to get there.
Peranakan Houses on Joo Chiat Road
The colorful and Instagram-worthy Peranakan Houses on Joo Chiat Road are by far the best places in Singapore to go to see. Some houses date back to the 1900s that are decorated with intricate mosaic tiles and painted in soft shades of pink and blue.
