Exams become a very important part of a student’s life as it is the medium through which their academic excellence is often judged. How well students perform in the examination is how they will be evaluated in their future endeavours. Therefore, they need to do their best in their exams and secure good grades to tackle all hindrances that may come their way in their higher studies.

Although students don’t appear for board exams in Class 9, it plays an important role in preparing students who will appear for the Board exams in the succeeding year. It becomes the foundation and building block for the syllabus that will be taught in higher classes. All the basic and rudimentary concepts that students will have to know in Class 9 will ultimately help them in a better understanding of the subjects and concepts in their higher studies. Therefore, it becomes extremely important and necessary for every student of Class 9 to get a better hold of the concepts that the CBSE has listed for them in their curriculum.

For a subject like English, students must be aware of the important grammatical parts of a literary text to be fluent while communicating and writing. The Beehive textbook assigned by CBSE for Class 9 English helps students overcome and deal with the theory portion of the syllabus. However, to polish oneself further, it is important to practice the exercises that will help students achieve better command of the language. Furthermore, by practising these exercises, students can retain the main and crucial aspects that the syllabus has to offer. It also helps sharpen the memory of students, which plays a dominant role when they sit for the exams.

Students often find themselves in a puddle, confused about what resources and books would help them in their preparations and aid them in scoring marks that will assist them with their future endeavours. Many students often end up with books that ultimately fail in being “the holy grail.” To rid the students of this taxing situation, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) takes upon itself the task of assisting students by developing and distributing textbooks that are all-inclusive, at the primary and the secondary level. Thus, these NCERT books find their place, through the recommendation of CBSE, on the shelves of students preparing for their examinations.

Therefore, it becomes quite evident that NCERT solutions are also available for the Class 9 curriculum. The NCERT Solutions for 9th class English textbook answers prove to be the most beneficial reference book that students should avail to amplify their knowledge and intellect and brush up their skills to shine in their upcoming examinations.

Despite possessing the required materials and reference books, students often face the dilemma of where to start and how to complete the syllabus. They are often confused about what routine they should follow and how they should manage their time in dividing different subjects and fulfilling the assignments on time. To help them get over this conundrum, here are some suggestions and tips that they can follow to score well in their Class 9 English exams –

  • ROUTINE: The prime proposition that one has to keep in mind, is to devise a concrete routine allotting equal time for various subjects to be practised, studied and mastered regularly. This routine should be followed regularly to avoid any layering of subjects and topics for the last minute preparation. This is because having copious and overflowing topics to cover a few days before the exams can prove to be a taxing situation for students, where he/she might find themselves incapable and helpless in covering all the important topics that might be asked in the exam.
  • HAVING A THOROUGH READING OF THE RESPECTIVE CHAPTERS: To score good grades in Class 9 English exam, it is important to read the chapters that are taught in the classroom before turning to the NCERT Solutions. Most students turn to the internet to read the summary of the chapters or poems as an alternative to reading the whole chapter. This should be avoided, as it fails to convey the whole idea and hypothesis that the chapter may provide. It is to be kept in mind that for a subject such as English that falls under Literature, it demands not only an in-depth reading of the topic but also the reader’s opinion on the subject matter. This helps in the development of the creative and innovative faculty of the children where they are forced to utilize and employ their analytical and cognitive faculty.
  • PRACTICE FROM THE NCERT SOLUTIONS: Once they are done reading their respective textbooks, they should get assistance from the NCERT solutions that are devised for them, keeping in mind the CBSE guidelines. These NCERT solutions provide various exercises to students in addition to the exercises that are already present in their textbooks. These additional exercises prove to be of great help for students, as it adds to their existing knowledge, understanding and proficiency of the given topic. Through these exercises, it becomes the task of students to learn the new meanings and grammar that are bestowed upon them. These Solutions also have solved question papers from previous years, adding to the experience of the student.
  • EXTRA READINGS: Apart from these, it is also advisable for students to read various new compositions and try and solve these to get a better hold of the concept. This will help them in writing the answers to the questions asked in the examination with confidence.

Following these above-mentioned suggestions would prove more than enough for the students in securing satisfactory marks. With practice and precision, it is always a surety that one can score better and high marks in the exams.
