Merry Christmas and Happy Boxing Day! The Popping Post is honoured to have one of the most dedicated Star Wars fans we know to construct a quiz that only real fans would be able to answer! Amelia Silva happens to be a female fan who not only does not need Star Wars mansplained to her, but is well-versed enough in the lore to know the difference between a clone trooper and a stormtrooper. Her quiz is based only on the theatrical Star Wars movies – don’t worry, no Extended Universe or Star Wars: Holiday Special questions in there!

If you can get all of these open-ended questions right, you’ll stand to win a pair of limited edition Star Wars EZ-Link cards! For Singapore residents only; please look up our Facebook page for details.

Every avid moviegoer remembers the first movie which got them hooked to the magic of the silver screen. For me, it was the Star Wars franchise. One of my earliest childhood memories involved watching a Star Wars movie on TV. I had no idea what Star Wars was back then but it was the space vehicles, engaging characters, a genuinely scary villain (for a young girl, that is), crazy light-up glow stick fights (of course, I didn’t know that they were called lightsabers at that time) and of course, the inclusion of a strong and independent Princess which had me enthralled. At that that point, I fell in love with movies and of course, Star Wars.

After much research and multiple viewing of all the Star Wars films while growing up, I gained a deeper appreciation of the franchise, captivated by the unwavering theme of good always overcoming evil. Also, I could relate to standing up for a cause and fighting for your beliefs, despite personal sacrifice and turmoil. I also wanted to be courageous like Luke Skywalker but with Princess Leia-esque hair.

I consider myself fortunate to experience and live through a new trilogy in the franchise. The new trilogy will inspire a younger generation of fans and I am thrilled at the prospect that there will be more wonderful Star Wars movies to look forward to in the future and beyond.

Without further ado, here is the quiz, and may The Force be with you!
