This week, I’m looking forward to American musical comedy film Pitch Perfect 2. It is the sequel to the 2012 film Pitch Perfect which was adapted from Mickey Rapkin’s non-fiction book, titled Pitch Perfect: The Quest for Collegiate A Cappella Glory.

It’s been three years since the Barden Bellas brought their signature vocals, style and attitude to become the first all-female group to win a national title. But when they get banned after a scandal that threatens to derail their last year at Barden, the three-time defending champs worry that this time they’ve lost their harmony for good.

With just one chance left at redeeming their legacy, the Bellas must fight for their right to win the World Championships of A Cappella in Copenhagen. And as they struggle to balance the pressures of musical domination with senior angst, it will take the power of sisterhood to find their voice and see what it takes to be the world’s top pitches.

Pitch Perfect is known for covering chart topping songs, in this sequel you can look forward to the Barden Bellas performing hits like Bootilicious by Beyoncé, Flashlight by Jesse J and Fantastic Baby by K-Pop group Big Bang! It’s no surprise to me that a Korean hit would make it to a wildly popular American movie like Pitch Perfect 2. Fantastic Baby is afterall one of the biggest K-pop hits ever.

Here’s a look at the top 5 K-Pop acts which have been in American magazines, tv shows and movies in recent years.

Big Bang’s electro-banger Fantastic Baby in Pitch Perfect 2.
